The Lakeland Rustlers Men's Futsal team travelled to Three Hills on the weekend to take part in the Prairie College Futsal Cup. The Rustlers had two teams playing, Lakeland Rustlers and Lakeland Alumni FC.
The Lakeland Rustlers went 4-1 over the weekend, defeating Red Deer 5-0, Olds Alumni 8-0 and Lethbridge twice 4-2 and 5-3. The team then lost in the final 3-2 in a shoot out.
The Lakeland Alumni FC went 2-1-1 over the weekend, as they defeated Ambrose 5-3 and Prairie Alumni FC 4-2, tying King's 2-2 and losing to Olds Alumni 3-2.
The futsal team will now have time to prepare for the ACAC Futsal Championships which will be held in Lloydminster at Lakeland College and Servus Sports Centre March 8-11.
