Women’s Volleyball Secures 3 All-Conference Awards
This week the ACAC announced the All-Conference award winners for Volleyball. The Rustlers women's volleyball team had 3 student-athletes named to the team.
Second-year Outside hitter Jenay Varga had a great season for the Rustlers finishing the season off second in the Conference in total kills with 210, kills per set with 3.89 kills per set average, and an aces per set average of .59 aces. Varga is quickly becoming a strong leader on the team. The Muenster, Saskatchewan student-athlete is enrolled in the Bachelor of General Studies program at Lakeland.
Third-year, Kaylie Lueck was named as one of the top middles in the Conference. Lueck finished 7th in the ACAC in blocks per game and plays consistently each time she sets foot on the court. Lueck hails from Regina, Saskatchewan, and is enrolled in the Bachelor of Science program.
First-year student-athlete Avery Bates has put in a solid performance in her freshman season. She has had a fairly dominant impact at the net for the Rustlers finishing the season off in the top ten in the conference in total kills and blocks per set categories. Avery is from Acme, Alberta, and enrolled in the University Transfer program.
