Rustlers Soccer Players Selected to ACAC All-Conference Teams
Five members of the Lakeland Rustlers soccer teams were selected to the ACAC north all-conference team for the 2021 - 2022 season.
Women's Soccer
Kimberlea Pfeil - a second-year University Transfer student from Holbein, SK. was selected as one of the top forwards in the ACAC. Pfeil lead the Rustlers in scoring during the regular season with 6 goals and one assist in the shortened 6 game regular season. As one of two 2nd year players on the team Pfeil filled a leadership role within the team this past year leading the Rustlers to their first-ever playoff appearance.
Kyla Franks – a freshman from Saskatoon, SK. enrolled in Business Administration, was selected as one of the top defenders in the ACAC this year. Franks was a stable force for the Rustlers in the backfield this year which helped the Rustlers women's soccer finish with the best winning percentage in the history of the program.
Megan Hockley – a first-year student-athlete from Saskatoon, SK. working towards a Bachelor of Science degree was selected as one of the top Midfielders in the ACAC. The freshman played consistently over the entire regular season and playoffs helping the Rustlers finish the season with the best result in the history of the program.
Men's Soccer
Giordano Ciccacci – a second-year business administration student from Roma, Italy was selected as one of the top forwards in the ACAC this year. Gio has been a leader throughout the regular season and playoffs during the 2021 season. Ciccacci was one of the veterans on the team that lead the Rustlers to a second-place north division finish and a spot in the ACAC bronze medal game.
Hani Tekheste – a second-year from Saskatoon, Sk. enrolled in Business Administration was selected as one of the top Midfielders in the ACAC. Tekheste amassed 4 goals and 2 assists in the condensed ACAC regular season. He helped lead the Rustlers to the medal round of the Conference championships.
