Rustlers Weekend Recap - December 1, 2025
Rustlers Athletics wrapped league play for the first half of the season with one final weekend of festivities.
Rustlers Volleyball
Volleyball was on the road for one evening in Calgary, where they faced the Ambrose Lions. The women won in dominant fashion 3-0 (25-12, 25-13, 25-20) and the men were swept (18-25, 22-25, 20-25). Reigning Player of the Year Avery Bates at 11 kills and 19 points for the women, while Cam Craft had 10 points for the men.
Rustlers Hockey
Women's hockey also traveled to Calgary for a 3-game series with the SAIT Trojans. The Rustlers won all three games (6-3, 3-0, 6-1). Several players averaged a point a game or more over the weekend, led by Addison Eurich with 6 points. This solidifies the squad as the top seed in the league heading into the break.
Rustlers Basketball
Basketball had one last homestand, facing the Ambrose Lions and St. Mary's Lightning. The women's team lost 41-66 and 44-81, while the men won 105-76 and 90-62. Seth Johnson tallied 41 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals in the two games, helping the men to remain tied for first in the North Division.
What's Coming Up
All that remains in December, other than exams, is the Hockey Fights Cancer charity game on Dec. 7 at 5:15 pm, where the women's team will play against Alumni.
