For the second year, the Lakeland Rustlers Women's Volleyball team got into the Christmas spirit and created shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child.
Operation Christmas Child is a program in which shoe boxes are filled with hygiene items, school supplies, and toys and then given to children who are struggling around the world.
"They chose this event to give back to less fortunate children at Christmas time," coach Dyer said. "Being students, finances can be really tight for our athletes, but they all feel like if they can find a way to give back during holiday time they would find a way to do so."
Good job ladies!
